A simple little thing but very handy for making a nice, smooth border around the edge of your carving.
Available in a Plastic or Chrome plated metal version.
The end screw is loosened, you pop your blade in, and tighten it up. You can then loosen the other guide screw, and slide the knife left and right along the bar to set the width of your border.
Minimum border is 1/8”, maximum is 1 7/16”
Please note - the plastic guides are not suitable for hollow ground or thin blades without replacing the screw for a longer one.
They will fit a standard, thick blade of 1/16” thickness or more.
The metal border guides are suitable for blades as thin as 0.04 inches.
